Do It Online!

Did you read the invitation to the 2009 Midwest Chapter Conference in this week’s issue of the Midwest Chapter’s newsletter MIDLINE? I know that I might be just a little biased since I’m on the conference planning team, but I think this is going to be one fantastic conference! The Midwest Chapter conference is by far my favorite conference. I’ve attended nine Midwest Chapter conferences including the last six in a row. I’m really looking forward to spending time with all my Midwest Chapter chums!
And NOW is the time to make your hotel room reservation! The special conference room rate is $124/night. The best, easiest way to make your room reservation is to go to the conference hotel information page of the conference website and click on the link to our special conference hotel room reservation form. Or if you prefer to make the reservations by phone or on the Hyatt on Capitol Square website, ask for the Midwest Chapter/MLA rate or type in g-jmla in the “Group/Corporate #” box.

Making your reservation now will guarantee that you will get the special conference room rate. Additionally, knowing the number of hotel room reservations will give us conference planners a feel for how many people are coming to the conference, online pharmacy no script even if everyone hasn’t been able to actually register yet.
And speaking of registering for the conference, you can do that easy as pie online as well. This year the chapter is using the Acteva service to handle reservations for the conference and continuing education courses online. You can link to the online registration form from the conference registration information page on the conference website. Midwest Chapter/MLA and Ohio Health Sciences Library Association (our host group) members qualify for a special conference registration rate. Members should have received a member validation code via e-mail from Registration Chair Jolene Miller. Don’t remember what you did with the validation code e-mail? Contact Jolene for assistance. Online registration requires credit card payment. But if you need to pay by check, you can use the registration form which is also available as a link from the conference registration information page.
We’ll be posting lots more conference information and tidbits here on ConnectMidwest over the next 6 weeks. So stay tuned!
Update and REMINDER: Register early for the conference and SAVE $50! The early registration deadline is Monday, August 31st! Midwest Chapter and OHSLA members check your e-mail for a reminder which includes your membership validation code.
