Registration for Midwest Chapter 2012 in Rochester, MN is OPEN!!!

The Health Sciences Libraries of Minnesota are pleased to welcome you to the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, Minnesota from Saturday, October 6th through Tuesday, October 9th. We call this event Growing Opportunities. We
welcome you to grow your opportunities by engaging in discussion with colleagues, networking with other health sciences information professionals across the region, sharing ideas through paper and poster sessions, and learning from continuing education classes.

We are excited to welcome “E-Patient Dave” (David deBronkart), Jennifer K. Nelson, M.S., R.D., L.D. (co-editor of several Mayo Clinic cookbooks), and Tim Cockram (Executive Chef, Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center, Mayo Clinic) as our featured speakers. Dr. Donald Lindberg will join us to deliver the NLM Update. As usual, the Greater Midwest Region will co-sponsor the annual Technology Forum. Special events will include a Welcome and Exhibitors’ Reception, Historic Rochester Trolley Tour, and a Reception at the Rochester Art Center. We’ve even rolled back the registration rates to 2008 prices!

Under Hotel and Travel Info, you will find a link to making your hotel registration as part of our conference room block. This is important for you to get the special rate and for us to have your room nights counted toward our use of the Civic Center. Travel into Rochester is easy – fly directly into Rochester, or fly into Minneapolis/St.Paul and take an hourly shuttle directly to the hotel.
