I recently ran across this post on "Ways to use Twitter in Academia" http://academhack.outsidethetext.com/home/2008/twitter-for-academia/
I thought it was pretty interesting because Twitter is an application I simply don't get. I feel really old but why would anyone want to know that I am currently eating lunch or watching TV. This article points out that my thinking is a bit short-sighted.
This looks like a good blog - yet another RSS feed to follow.

The proposed revised version of the Midwest Chapter bylaws was posted at the Chapter's Web site on September 19, 2008. See http://midwestmla.org/business/ProposedBylaws2008.pdf.
A vote to approve this document will be taken at the Chapter's 2008 Annual Business Meeting on October 20. All Chapter members are encouraged to review the draft and pass on any comments or questions before then to: Sheryl Stevens (sheryl.stevens@utoledo.edu) or Deborah Lauseng (dlauseng@umich.edu).
