The Sunday evening social event for our Midwest MLA Chapter Conference will be dinner and exploration of the Harley- Davidson Museum. Gather at the 3rd Street entrance to the Hyatt Regency Lobby at 5:20 pm to board the shuttles. Shuttles will depart at 5:30 to take you to the museum. At 6:00 pm our food stations will open in the Rumble Room. You will be free to discover the museum and the gift shop at any time.
Want to take it easy and just connect with friends? We will have a Milwaukee themed crossword puzzle available for collaboration.
Dress Code: Be casual, jeans encouraged!
The Experience gallery in the museum features motorcycles of various sizes that you are encouraged to touch, sit on and photograph. At 8:00 pm the shuttles will return to take you back to the Hyatt.
The Hospitality committee invites you to our opening reception to meet our exhibitors. The reception will be held in the Regency Ballroom on 2nd floor of the Hyatt from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Light appetizers will be served. Your first drink is complimentary and you may purchase additional beverages if you wish. Casual attire/jeans are appropriate.
Dinner after the reception is on your own.
At 7:10 pm from the main Hyatt Lobby, those interested can walk with the hospitality committee to explore Oktoberfest at the Fiserv Form plaza known as the Deer District. There are many restaurants along the walk and around the plaza. The walk is approximately a third of a mile north from the Hyatt on either Old World 3rd Street or Vel A. Phillips (4th street) Avenue. A map to the district is provided in your registration folder. In addition to the classic German celebration of Oktoberfest, the Deer District will be transformed into the “Fear District” for Halloween. Haunted house tour tickets are available for purchase online or at the Fiserv Forum ticket office.
