We are proud to announce a new speaker for the Monday, October 15th lunch: Dr. Joann Schaefer, Director of the Division of Public Health at the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services. You can read more about Dr. Schaefer, who is also the Chief Medical Officer for the State of Nebraska, at the National Library of Medicine “Changing the Face of Medicine” exhibit. Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, Lorienne Roy is not available to speak at our conference.
We have a national celebrity added to the stellar speaker lineup scheduled for the conference: Rivkah Sass. Change agent, risk taker, and the Director of the Omaha Public Library, Ms. Sass will speak on Sunday, October 14th, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Ms. Sass was named Library Journal’s 2006 Librarian of the Year, as well as one of Library Journal’s 2002 Movers and Shakers.
