Gundersen Lutheran Adds Another Consumer Health Library

Submitted by Kaye L Crampton, Gundersen Lutheran Health Resource Libraries

The Library and Health Information Services department at Gundersen Lutheran in La Crosse, Wisconsin opened a new health resource library in the Onalaska clinic in early May. The new John & Nettie Mooney Health Resource Center is located in the lobby of the main floor of the clinic, and will be staffed by a full-time librarian.

The new library is made possible by a generous donation from Nettie Mooney, whose gifts have helped establish two other consumer health libraries at Gundersen Lutheran. The library will serve the consumer health needs of patients, families, and the community surrounding the Onalaska campus. The official dedication of the library was held on Saturday, May 12.
