Membership Update, Rebecca Caton
Membership has slipped a bit. The chapter currently has 359 members, including 54 new members and 11 student members. Please spread the word to your colleagues that membership, at only $20 a year, is one of the best professional development bargains they'll ever find! There are now two ways to renew membership for 2010: you may mail in a check or do it online via credit card. Please remember that the membership password will now change annually and will be distributed upon renewal.
Treasurer's Report, Marlene Porter
As of September 20, 2009, the chapter's beginning balance was $12,380.37, income was $33,060.67, and the ending balance was $36,584.08. Please note that while this is a healthy bottom line it is customary for an organization to have roughly 30 percent of its operating costs in reserve. This figure represents that percentage.
