2013 Midwest Chapter Annual Meeting!

Greetings Midwest Chapter/MLA and HSLI Members!

Registration for the Midwest Chapter/Medical Library Association Annual Meeting, Navigating a River of Information, to be held in East Peoria, IL, October 4-8, 2013, is now open. Registration and payment may be made online or by mailing a completed registration form and check. Both options are available via the registration page on the conference website at: http://hsli.org/midwestmla2013/registration/ As a Midwest Chapter/MLA and/or HSLI member, you are eligible to receive a discounted registration rate by using the member-only Registration Code: 7AF1PL33. An additional discount is available to Early Bird registrants, prior to September 3rd.

Register for one or more of the great Continuing Education opportunities offered on Saturday October 5 and Tuesday October 8.

Sunday night will feature a reception at the Peoria Riverfront Museum. The museum offers a wide variety of cultural experiences, including fine art collections, folk art, and other exhibits.

On Tuesday morning there will be a tour offered of the Jump Trading Simulation & Education Center at OSF St. Francis. The Jump center combines functional medical with state-of-the-art simulation devices. If conference goers are interested in learning more about simulation training they should not miss this tour.

The Conference hotel, the Embassy Suites East Peoria, sits on the bank of the Illinois River, with an adjoining patio to enjoy the river view. You’ll be impressed by the spacious and attractive facilities offered.
