News from Mount Carmel Health Sciences Library

Stevo Roksandic of Mount Carmel Health Sciences Library (MCHSL) and Allison Erlinger, Health Sciences Librarian, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, presented “Rethink, Redo, Repurpose”: Transforming Library Space to Meet Clients’ Needs at the 2017 Midwest Chapter/Medical Library Conference on Sunday, October 15 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Don Pearson, Library Technology Specialist and Noreen Mulcahy, Lead Health Sciences Librarian – Technical Services, both received Professional Development Awards from the Greater Midwest Region/National Network of Libraries of Medicine.  These funds made it possible for Don and Noreen to attend the Midwest Chapter/Medical Library Association conference, Friday, October 13—Monday, October 16 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Noreen Mulcahy received credentialing from the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP), senior level.

Elizabeth Lyman, Health Sciences Librarian at Mount Camel Health Sciences Library, MLIS, wrote a book review of Moira J. Bent’s  ‘Practical Tips for Facilitating Research.’  It is published in Medical Reference Services Quarterly, 36:4, 431-433.

Kaitlyn Humphrey has been hired as Library Assistant at MCHLS.  Kaitlyn received a Masters of Library and Information Sciences from Kent State University in December of 2016.
